Miami Gardens is set to enhance its cultural scene with the construction of a new Performing Arts Center (PAC), slated to open alongside a new city center. Located next to City Hall, the PAC will span 74,000 square feet across three levels. The ground floor will feature a 1,000-1,220-seat auditorium, office spaces, classrooms, and a culinary arts facility, along with “The Black Box Theatre” for youth performances.
The second floor will house a youth center, supported by a $1 million donation from Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, and a STEM facility funded by a $60 million bond. The third floor will offer a mezzanine with city views.
Funding for the $60-$70 million project includes $21 million from the city, $26 million from Miami-Dade County, Wilson’s donation, and a potential $2 million from Rolling Loud. An additional $30 million from the state is pending.
Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2026, with completion targeted for 2028. The PAC will complement the Miami Gardens City Center, a 35-acre project near Hard Rock Stadium, which broke ground in July 2024 and is expected to finish by 2026. City officials are working to expedite the PAC’s timeline to meet community expectations.
