A video posted by Only in Dade captured two individuals atop a moving Metrorail in Coconut Grove. The footage shows the pair on the train before it departed, though it’s unclear how they managed to climb the Metrorail undetected.
Following the video’s circulation, Miami-Dade County issued a statement condemning the act, emphasizing its illegality and the serious dangers involved. The statement urged the public to avoid such actions, highlighting the potential for severe injuries or fatalities and reminding everyone that safety is a collective responsibility. The statement also encouraged riders to report any suspicious activity.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
