Two women were killed and four others injured when a car crashed into a previous accident scene on I-95 in Broward County late Sunday. The crash occurred just before midnight in the northbound lanes, near Atlantic Boulevard.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla were involved in a minor crash and stopped in the inside lane with their hazard lights on. As the drivers were exchanging information outside their vehicles, a Toyota Camry, driven “unsafely,” struck them.
A woman standing outside the cars was killed, along with another woman inside the Elantra. Three men and a woman, including the Camry driver and a man near the vehicles, were injured.
All lanes were shut down for several hours, causing heavy traffic delays as FHP investigated. Aerial footage showed multiple damaged vehicles at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash.
