A newly released affidavit from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office details Tiger Woods’ DUI arrest last Friday following a rollover crash on Jupiter Island, Florida.

Woods, 50, was driving a Land Rover when he attempted to pass a pickup truck towing a trailer, crossed a double solid line into oncoming traffic, struck the trailer, and flipped his SUV. He told deputies he had been looking at his phone and changing the radio station when he failed to notice the truck slowing ahead of him. No one was injured, and damage to the trailer was estimated at $5,000.

Deputies noted multiple signs of impairment: Woods was sweating heavily despite cool air, moved lethargically, and had bloodshot, glassy eyes with extremely dilated pupils. Pills were found in his pocket. He denied drinking alcohol but acknowledged over 20 leg surgeries and seven back operations, which complicated field sobriety testing.

Woods has since pleaded not guilty and announced he will seek treatment.
