Ticket Prices Skyrocket for Indiana–Miami CFP Championship Game

Ticket prices surged dramatically after Indiana’s dominant 56–22 victory over Oregon in the Peach Bowl secured a spot in the College Football Playoff national championship against Miami.

The title game, scheduled for January 19 at Hard Rock Stadium, will be played on Miami’s home field, fueling intense demand. Even before Indiana’s win, secondary-market ticket prices hovered around $2,800. Within hours of the victory, the cheapest available seats jumped to roughly $3,800—mostly in the upper deck.

By Saturday afternoon, ticket-tracking service TicketData reported the lowest “get-in” price had settled just under $3,600, including fees. Some premium seats on platforms such as StubHub and Ticketmaster were listed for more than $10,000.

The matchup has all the ingredients for a historic price spike: Miami chasing its sixth national title on home turf, and Indiana appearing in the championship game for the first time in program history. Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal welcomed the buzz, calling the fan response “awesome” and urging supporters to bring maximum energy.

Miami sold more than 500,000 tickets across eight regular-season home games this year, a program record. Indiana fans also proved their travel strength in Atlanta, where crimson dominated the stands.

Not all attendees will pay inflated prices. Both schools received ticket allotments sold at face value to season-ticket holders, donors, and students. Early listings suggested many resale tickets came from the sideline Miami will occupy, as Indiana was designated the “home” team based on CFP seeding rules.
