Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a serious crash Saturday afternoon near Southwest 117th Avenue and 224th Street. Authorities say the accident, which occurred around 3:35 p.m., involved at least eight people and required more than six rescue units.
One adult was transported by ambulance to a nearby trauma center, while two others with minor injuries were taken to a local hospital. Five additional individuals were evaluated on site and released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
