Authorities in Fort Lauderdale are investigating a fire that broke out at a vacant hotel on Sunday.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to the scene along the 1000 block of N. Federal Highway, where they encountered heavy smoke pouring from the building. Video footage captured the intense scene as multiple fire crews worked to assess and control the situation.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the flames, and no one was found inside the structure. However, officials have deemed the circumstances of the fire suspicious and have launched an investigation to determine the cause.
No injuries were reported, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
