MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is speaking out after allegedly being targeted in an antisemitic verbal attack at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel on Sunday night. The rabbi, who recorded the confrontation, claims a man shouted offensive slurs, including “baby killer” and “Free Palestine, mother f—–,” in the hotel lobby. Boteach, who believes the incident reflects rising antisemitism, responded, saying, “If I as a Jew am not safe in this hotel, you are not safe.”

The Fontainebleau condemned the language used, calling it “abhorrent” and stating that such behavior does not align with the hotel’s values. The hotel’s security worked to de-escalate the situation, and the incident was reported to Miami Beach police.

Boteach has announced plans to sue the hotel for $100 million, accusing it of failing to prevent the attack. He describes the incident as a case of bigotry, racism, and antisemitism. The hotel issued an apology to those impacted by the confrontation.
