Miami-Dade, FL – A local volleyball coach, Carlos Ismel Cruz Concepcion, 31, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of molesting a 16-year-old student at BridgePrep Academy of Village Green. The alleged incidents occurred last year while Concepcion was employed at the school.
Despite passing background checks, Concepcion was reportedly fired from the school for sending inappropriate messages to underage students. He was also a coach at Divine Savior Academy and 305 Volleyball Club.
Concepcion is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond.
