Dan Rivera, a Connecticut-based paranormal investigator best known for caring for the infamous Annabelle doll, died suddenly over the weekend, according to the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR).

Rivera was touring with NESPR and the Annabelle doll in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, when he passed. The cause of death has not been released.

The Annabelle doll gained notoriety through The Conjuring movie franchise, which was inspired by the work of famed demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Rivera had worked with NESPR, the organization founded by the Warrens, helping to educate the public about paranormal activity.

NESPR posted a tribute on Facebook, stating, “Dan truly believed in sharing his experiences and educating people on the paranormal. His kindness and passion touched everyone who knew him.”

Annabelle continues to be a source of fascination and fear, with countless stories and social media discussions surrounding the supposedly haunted object. Rivera’s role as one of its trusted caretakers made him a well-known figure in paranormal circles.
