New Details Emerge in Killing of TikTok Influencer Girlalala

Authorities have released new information in the tragic killing of popular TikTok influencer Girlalala, who was fatally shot in Lauderdale Lakes on Friday. Her boyfriend, Shanoyd Whyte Jr., has been charged with murder and remains jailed without bond.

The case gained attention after the release of Whyte’s frantic 911 call, during which he repeatedly pleaded for help. Deputies later found Girlalala, a transgender woman and well-known hairstylist with roughly 300,000 followers, shot multiple times inside Whyte’s vehicle along Northwest 37th Avenue.

Whyte originally told investigators that the couple had argued and struggled inside the car over a firearm. Detectives, however, obtained surveillance footage from a neighbor’s Tesla that appears to show Whyte stepping out of the vehicle holding what looks like a gun, then moving the victim back into the car before pacing and eventually calling 911.

Deputies said the pair had been in a relationship for about three years and were known to argue frequently. Loved ones described Girlalala as talented, creative, and full of potential. Her family has asked for privacy as they grieve.

Whyte remains in custody awaiting trial as investigators continue to analyze physical evidence and the newly surfaced video.
