Miami-Dade Police are investigating an accidental shooting that occurred Friday night at a McDonald’s in Miami. Authorities responded to a shooting report at the fast food restaurant on NW 7th Avenue around 10 p.m. and discovered that Melissa Valbrum had accidentally shot her 15-year-old daughter in the shoulder.
The teenager was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center and is in stable condition. Valbrum, who faces serious charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery, is currently under investigation.
Police have not disclosed further details about the incident, including what led to the dispute or whether Valbrum has been taken into custody.
