A violent altercation at a Miami Springs hotel on Friday ended in the arrest of a woman accused of assaulting her romantic rival.
Police say Katrina Nicole Grant was caught on surveillance video dragging another woman by the hair through a car window before pepper-spraying her. The incident, sparked by a dispute over a boyfriend, occurred in a hotel parking lot and was shared in a post by the Miami Springs Police Department.
The video shows the victim being pulled from the vehicle and dragged alongside it while it was still in motion. Grant later admitted to the attack and was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
“Let this be a reminder: heartbreak is not an excuse for hair-pulling—or dragging someone down the road,” police said in their post.
Authorities have not released the condition of the victim but confirmed she received medical attention.
The case highlights the dangers of domestic disputes escalating into public violence. Miami Springs Police urged residents to seek help or mediation rather than resorting to physical confrontation.
Grant remains in custody as she awaits a bond hearing. Investigators have not disclosed whether additional charges may follow.
