Miami OnlyFans Model Seeks Bond in Boyfriend’s Fatal Stabbing Case

Courtney Clenney, a 28-year-old Miami social media influencer, appeared in court Friday as her attorneys seek her release on bond while she awaits trial for the April 2022 stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli. Clenney faces a second-degree murder charge in the fatal incident at the couple’s Edgewater condo.

Prosecutors allege the couple had a turbulent, abusive relationship, with Obumseli being the victim of domestic violence. Clenney’s defense team, however, claims she acted in self-defense, asserting that she was the one enduring abuse and threw the knife at Obumseli while trying to escape.

Clenney, known on social media as “Courtney Tailor,” has remained in jail without bond since her arrest. Her defense argues that the stabbing was not a close-range attack, but rather a defensive act during a violent altercation. To support this claim, they brought in a forensic pathologist and a knife-throwing expert to demonstrate that a knife, similar to the one used in the incident, could be thrown from several feet away. The demonstration showed that about 50% of the knives stuck in a pig carcass, suggesting Clenney’s version of events is plausible.

However, prosecutors challenge this by pointing out that Clenney told police she threw the knife from a distance of around 10 feet, which the expert did not replicate during the demonstration.

The judge will issue a decision on Clenney’s bond request next month. At the time of Obumseli’s death, Clenney had over 2 million Instagram followers and was active on platforms like OnlyFans.
