Miami Beach Tourist Forced Into Prostitution; Suspect Charged With Human Trafficking

Miami Beach police arrested 24-year-old Kaleem Nurse on human trafficking charges after a tourist called 911 claiming she was being held hostage by “a pimp and his girlfriend.”

According to the arrest report, the victim and a friend met Nurse during a vacation in late August 2019. He lured her with food, drinks, and clothing before revealing he was a pimp and that she owed him money.

Nurse then forced her to post ads on escort websites and work in Miami Beach clubs, demanding she earn at least $500 a night before being allowed to sleep.

The victim called police after a fight with another woman Nurse had recruited. Though Nurse denied involvement, investigators found escort ads and text messages connecting him to the operation.

He now faces two felony counts of human trafficking and prostitution. Attorney information was not available.
