Man From Viral 2015 Court Reunion Arrested Again in Miami

Nine years after his emotional viral courtroom reunion with Judge Mindy Glazer, 58-year-old Arthur Nathaniel Booth is back behind bars—this time accused of committing a new string of robberies.

Police say Booth posed as a plumber to target elderly victims, including 85-year-old Eduardo on West Flagler Street. Eduardo said the suspect tricked him into checking his bathtub faucet before ripping a gold chain from his neck and running off. The chain—a sentimental gift from Cuba—has not been recovered.

Detectives linked Booth to at least two other August robberies using security footage and evidence that he pawned jewelry matching stolen items.

Booth became widely known in 2015 when Judge Glazer recognized him as her former middle-school classmate during a bond hearing, a moment that moved Booth to tears and drew national attention. He had been facing similar burglary and theft charges at the time.

Now, Booth is again charged with burglary, assault, and additional offenses. A judge ordered he be held without bond. For victims like Eduardo, the arrest brings some comfort—but they still hope their stolen items will be found.
