A South Florida man faces animal abuse charges after surveillance footage allegedly caught him violently slamming a dog to the ground in West Miami.
The incident occurred on January 21 at the Twenty2 West Apartments. The apartment manager discovered the abuse while reviewing footage after noticing an unknown dog in a hallway bathroom.
The video reportedly shows 35-year-old Anthony Wu taking three dogs for a walk when one, a white schnauzer, stops. Wu then picks up the dog, throws it several feet, and slams it to the ground.
The manager immediately contacted police and animal control, leading to Wu’s arrest a week later.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the dog belonged to Wu, and its condition remains unclear. Court records indicate Wu has been charged with animal cruelty.
