A 31-year-old man was arrested Saturday after bringing a loaded gun to the Stonewall Pride Parade in Wilton Manors, according to police.

Michael Monheit faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon and trespassing while armed. During his court appearance Sunday, a judge set his bond at $2,000 and ordered him to surrender any firearms he owns.

Wilton Manors Police said Monheit entered a security checkpoint at the parade, where metal detectors were in place. When he triggered the alarm and ignored commands to stop, security called law enforcement.

According to the arrest report, Monheit continued walking despite repeated commands from officers. He was eventually detained, and police found a loaded Glock 43 9mm handgun clipped to his waistband, along with two loaded magazines in his pocket.

Monheit was taken into custody without further incident. Records show he previously held a concealed weapons permit, which had been revoked after he was Baker Acted.

No injuries were reported, and the parade continued without disruption.
