Miami, FL – A Miami man faces serious charges after allegedly subjecting his girlfriend to a horrific ordeal. Yandy Sanpedro, 46, was arrested on Monday, November 21st, on charges including sexual battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, robbery, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
According to police reports, Sanpedro, who had been dating the victim for about a month and a half, became enraged after discovering deleted text messages on her phone. He accused her of infidelity and proceeded to lock her in a bedroom, brandishing a knife and forcibly taking her phone.
The victim recounted a terrifying ordeal, describing how Sanpedro repeatedly assaulted her, sexually battered her, and ultimately carved his initials into her buttocks with the knife. He threatened her life and the lives of her family members if she reported the incident to authorities.
Sanpedro was apprehended and is currently being held without bond. The victim, visibly shaken, expressed her fear for her safety during a court hearing.
