Macy’s has confirmed the closure of 66 stores across the U.S., including several in South Florida, as part of its Bold New Chapter strategy. The closures are aimed at boosting long-term profitability by shutting down underperforming locations.

In South Florida, the affected stores are:

  • 13640 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines
  • 13251 South Dixie Highway, Miami (closed in 2024)

These furniture stores will relocate to nearby full-line Macy’s locations.

Additional closures in Florida include:

  • 9339 Glades Road, Boca Raton (relocating)
  • 801 North Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach
  • 298 Westshore Plaza, Tampa
  • 820 West Town Parkway, Altamonte Springs (going-out-of-business sale in early 2025)
  • 3501 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota

Macy’s plans to close approximately 150 stores over three years while investing in 350 key locations through 2026.
