Homeowner Fatally Shoots Suspect During Kendall Break-In

A violent home invasion in Kendall ended with one suspect dead and three others on the run, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

The attempted break-in happened around 7 p.m. near Southwest 141st Street and 110th Avenue. Detectives say the homeowner was inside when four individuals tried forcing their way into the house. The homeowner opened fire, striking one suspect in the upper body. That suspect later died at the hospital.

The remaining three fled before deputies arrived and are still being sought. Investigators are continuing to process the scene and review surveillance footage. Authorities have not released the identities of the suspects or the homeowner. The case remains an active investigation.
