Hollywood Man Arrested for Holding Woman Captive, Rape

A Hollywood man accused of holding a woman against her will for six days and repeatedly assaulting her was arrested in December, police said.

Antonio Paez, 38, faces multiple charges, including false imprisonment, sexual battery, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A judge denied him bond on Wednesday.

According to police, on Dec. 22, 2024, Paez threatened the victim with a firearm, telling her she couldn’t leave his home. He allegedly pointed the gun at her head and forced her to undress before assaulting her. The attacks occurred five times over six days, authorities said.

The victim managed to escape and contacted police. As she spoke with officers, Paez reportedly sent her threatening messages, warning he would “put three bullets in her” and sending a photo of himself with three men, implying further danger.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where a rape exam was conducted. Paez was later taken into custody, and police continue to investigate.
