A brutal stabbing in northwest Miami-Dade has left a 48-year-old woman in critical condition after her ex-boyfriend attacked her in front of her daughter. The suspect, Manuel Salgado Pena, 54, allegedly broke into the home on July 24 and dragged the woman outside while stabbing her repeatedly. The daughter, arriving home at the time, screamed for help as her mother urged her to flee. Pena reportedly tried to attack the daughter too before fleeing. The victim suffered severe injuries to her lung, liver, kidney, and heart. Pena was arrested eight days later. The daughter now demands justice: “He’s a danger to society. He should spend the rest of his life in jail.”
