Williamson Dossous, 50, was arrested Sunday at a Florida airport after a Homeland Security investigation uncovered his role in attempting to smuggle weapons to Haiti.
In January, U.S. Customs found guns and over 2,200 rounds of ammo hidden in bundles of clothing in a cargo container labeled “used household goods.” Dossous was listed as the shipper.
Though Dossous initially denied involvement, investigators obtained a phone recording in which he admitted touching the weapons. “I know my prints are going to be on the guns,” he told agents.
He’s now charged with smuggling and unlawful firearm delivery.
