Surveillance footage captured a brutal altercation inside a Miami trolley that ended in tragedy when a man fatally stabbed a restaurant employee.

The video, obtained by NBC6, allegedly shows 46-year-old Lamont Collins standing near the trolley doors as 49-year-old Adolf Bailey Bruce walks toward the front, intending to exit at the next stop. Suddenly, Collins yells at Bruce to “back up,” sparking a heated exchange.

As tensions rise, Collins pulls out a knife, prompting the trolley driver to intervene. “You’re going to jail,” the driver shouts while attempting to deescalate the situation. However, Collins, undeterred, reportedly yells, “I’d rather die than go to jail.”

Bruce, visibly frustrated, claps his hands and shouts, “Let’s go!” before stepping closer. Without warning, Collins repeatedly stabs Bruce, causing panic among passengers who scramble to escape.

The attack lasts about 30 seconds, leaving Bruce bleeding on the trolley floor. Collins then flees through the doors. Bruce, critically injured, manages to exit the vehicle but later succumbs to his wounds.

Bruce, an employee at Amara at Paraiso, was remembered as an enthusiastic traveler and basketball fan.

Collins was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody, pleading not guilty as he awaits trial.
