Child Drowns at North Lauderdale House Party

A tragic incident occurred Sunday morning in North Lauderdale when a child was found unresponsive in a backyard pool during a house party, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses discovered the child in the water at a residence near Stardust Drive and called for help. Deputies arrived quickly and immediately began life-saving efforts. The child was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive.

Authorities have not released the child’s identity, and the circumstances surrounding the drowning remain under investigation.
