Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Deputy Hospitalized After Motorcycle Crash

A Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputy on a motorcycle was hospitalized Saturday after a crash in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

The crash happened just after noon near Southwest 248th Street and 112th Avenue. According to MDSO, the deputy was turning westbound onto Southwest 248th Street when he spotted debris in the road and lost control of his motorcycle.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the deputy to the hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
