A Miami cosmetic physician was arrested Wednesday on three counts of sexual battery after a patient’s phone inadvertently recorded him allegedly assaulting her while she was sedated.
Dr. Ronald Freeman DeMeo, 63, is accused of assaulting a 29-year-old patient on October 25, 2025, during a cosmetic procedure. According to police, the patient had inhaled nitrous oxide, taken a prescribed sedative, and accepted a glass of wine offered by office staff. She recalled losing physical control and opening her eyes to find DeMeo over her, but said she lacked the strength to speak or resist.
Days later, reviewing footage on her phone, she discovered the phone had fallen face-down during the procedure and recorded what happened. She brought the video to police, who reviewed it before making the arrest.
DeMeo’s defense attorney contested the charges in bond court, claiming the encounter was consensual and that video evidence exonerates him. The attorney also alleged the patient had demanded $10 million from DeMeo and that her police report came only after he filed an extortion lawsuit against her. DeMeo was released under house arrest with a GPS monitor and barred from practicing medicine pending trial.
Miami police are actively seeking additional possible victims.
