Two Killed After Car Crosses Tracks, Strikes Brightline Train in West Palm Beach

Two people are dead following a collision between a vehicle and a Brightline train in West Palm Beach on Sunday afternoon. Police say the crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Roseland Drive, when a westbound vehicle crossed onto the tracks and was struck by a northbound train. Both occupants were ejected and died at the scene. Authorities note that crossing gates were down and warning signals were active at the time. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor. The victims’ identities have not been released.
