A Miami Jackson Senior High School teacher was arrested Saturday on multiple charges involving the sexual abuse of a minor.
Dr. Leroy Wright, 46, faces charges including aggravated sexual conduct with a student by an authority figure, sexual activity with a minor, and possession of obscene material depicting a minor, according to Miami-Dade Jail records.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools confirmed the arrest and said termination proceedings are already underway, adding that Wright would be barred from future employment with the district. “The safety and well-being of all students remain our top priority,” the district said.
