Children Robbed of Scooters at North Miami Beach Shopping Plaza

Three children were robbed of their electric scooters Sunday at a North Miami Beach shopping plaza while heading to a Ross store. A group of teens on bicycles surrounded them in the parking lot, demanding the scooters. One 14-year-old victim said he was pushed to the ground after telling a suspect to stop touching his scooter. Two of the three scooters, valued at over $1,000, were stolen. Security footage captured the confrontation. One child ran inside the mall to call 911, but the suspects fled before police arrived.
