Driver Killed, Two Passengers Critical After High-Speed Crash in Opa-locka

A man is dead and two women are fighting for their lives after a high-speed crash in Opa-locka early Sunday morning. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred around 7:13 a.m. near 2500 Northwest 135th Street, where the driver lost control and plowed into multiple parked vehicles. The driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Both female passengers were airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition.

A neighbor who witnessed the aftermath described a harrowing scene. “I heard this gruesome, very terrifying noise,” he said, recounting how he stepped outside to find a victim on the ground and a trail of destruction that included five cars, six trees, and two mailboxes. Video from the scene showed the vehicle engulfed in flames. No identities have been released. The investigation remains active.
